Material Recycling Facilities (MRFs)
Co-mingled and light packaging (with or without glass)
At the heart of the plant are Stadler’s patented stacked ballistic separators. This initial classification of the material into flats and rolling simplifies the sorting process and reduces manual picking.
Our MRFs are individually designed, and will typically include:
Bag Opener Trommel Ballistic Separators Magnets Eddy Current separators Near Infra red sorting (NIR) for plastics Picking lines Sorting cabin Baler
Our solution when glass is contained in the material input depends on the total percentage content. We offer solutions from low glass content up to 60% or 70% by weight. The glass can be removed as a product even separated into different colours if required. Our glass plants are always designed to reduce the wear to the absolute minimum, achieved by the method and position of glass removal as well as specially designed conveyors and other machine centres.
If you are concerned about introducing glass into your material input please give one of our engineers a ring to discuss the possibilities –
we will be pleased to help.
